I can't live with out my daily cup (or seven) of java.
It is really hard to try to sit here and focus on writing anything thought provoking when I have Sweet Potato yelling that she's essentially done mutilating her apple, Spud won't chill out unless I'm holding him, & the hubs is yelling at Jeopardy (Super Nintendo edition) on TV.
And yet today I call a success.
I wasn't barfed on by Spud. I think we finally have the right concoction in regards to formula that keeps his tummy happy and not propelling his unhappiness in warm running wet slop down my arms and chest. Spud's cheeks are starting to pudge out and his weight gain has been awesome considering the bit of a rough go we had in the beginning weeks of his life. One whole night this week he slept a whopping four hours in a row!
THE INCIDENT HAS NOT BEEN REPEATED.
(unfortunately)
"Uh, mom? Get that freaking camera out of my face."
She finally ate more than a few nibbles of chips once we let her sit at the table instead of her high chair.
Sweet Potato has been acting like a normal toddler. Somehow, (parenting fail in other words) she found a errant blue crayon and decided to color the couch, her father (who was wearing a white shirt) and her mouth in the lovely shade. The kid also gets into all sorts of things like re-arranging the DVD's (pulling them out and stomping on the cases like a pint sized yet cuter baby Godzilla), my bobby pins (WHERE DID SHE FIND THESE?! I swear I put them away!), paper shredding party (it's a great use of those annoying flyers/advertisements in the mail) and anything else not nailed/tied/child lock protected. Her addiction to Yo Gabba Gabba has branched out successfully to Jake & the Neverland Pirates. Sweet Potato sings at the top of her lungs to the songs and seems to really get into the plot lines of the show. This is based after observation of her screaming at the TV when she doesn't like what Captain Hook is doing.
Yay. One more tool to use on her when I need a 20 minute break from the chaos.
Now I can't even think of a proper closing for this.
So, much like many great bands in the 1970's & 1980's just pretend that this is a song fading out.
Uh, like this one...

Hahaha!! I'm so glad the little princess is eating for you. I'm not surprised that the table helped, she's a big girl now...duh mommy. And I think that little man will start sleeping more that his belly issues have been dealt with. I don't wish my guy's sleeping issues on ANYONE. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Isaac's tummy is feeling better! I hope it stays that way.
